Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. The wait is over. The first trailer for the very first Star Wars spin-off movie is here and boy does it look sharp.
Rogue One promised to tickle some nostalgia centers in geek brains by the setting alone... Taking place just before the events of A New Hope, the movie follows the ragtag group that stole the Death Star plans that was so central to the first movie's story and eventual success of the Rebellion.
The imagery in this trailer is strong as hell. Ben Mendelsohn's super intimidating Imperial dude in particular intrigues me... and Donnie Yen beating up on some stormtroopers kinda made my year.
Let's have a look, shall we?
Okay, so now you've watched it a few times. Is it just me or does it feel a little bit like the best cast fan film ever made? That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I got a serious fan film/old school EU book vibe from this trailer.
