Peter Serafinowicz, who provided the voice of Darth Maul, menaced Starlord in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and discussed all matters scientific on the BBC’s educational programme parody “Look Around You,” will now play The Tick.
Three years ago the plan was simply to rehire Patrick Warburton, but the erstwhile Brock Sampson and National Rental Car pitchman has grown too busy with the NBC sitcom “Crowded” to reprise the superheroic title role.

New actors have already been hired to play sidekick Arthur and his sister Dot. No word yet on who, if anyone, will step in the boots of Liz Vassey and Nestor Carbonell, who played Captain Liberty and Batmanuel.
Only nine episodes of the Warburton “Tick” ran on Fox in 2001, all of them brilliant.
