“Gordon and Bullock (Donal Logue) investigate a trail of clues left in a museum robbery, which, unbeknownst to them, were left by Nygma in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Gordon’s past comes back to haunt him when an anonymous person threatens to expose his hand in Galavan’s murder. Meanwhile, Penguin’s visit to some old friends leads him to meet his father, Elijah Van Dahl (guest star Paul Reubens) and Bruce practices his street smarts.”

At the Gotham Museum of Art. The episode’s title refers to something Nygma steals there.
Does Nygma this week paste a giant felt question mark on a unitard?
No. For the time being he is making do with his duckbilled flat cap and a kerchief.
Van Dahl? Is Penguin a literal bastard?
He is.
Who are these “old friends” who lead Penguin to his pa? Is one of them Butch?
Cobblepot visits the lair of Butch Gilzean and Tabitha Galavan, and of Ed Nygma. But none of them appears to lead Penguin to his father.
Did Penguin’s dad set the infant Oswald in a cradle and place it in a stream, as seen in “Batman Returns”?
No. Oswald and his father apparently never met before this episode.
Is Penguin’s dad a con man? Does he try to bilk his boy?
If that shoe is to drop, it does not drop this week.

Papa Penguin doesn’t turn up until the latter half of the episode. Papa Penguin’s (wife? sister?) is played by someone who worked for years with Ben McKenzie. And Bruce is this week as Batman-like as we’ve ever seen him.
What’s good?
Cory Michael Smith’s Riddler. Jessica Lucas and her impression of Gertrud Kapelput. The casting of Butch’s nephew. The sheer amount of story packed into the episode.
What’s not so good?
Both Alfred Pennyworth and Hugo Strange sit it out this week.
