You have heard it described, now see it for yourself! JURASSIC PARK 3 set at Universal!!!
Hey folks, Harry here... You've heard our spies describe the goings on, the construction of .... well, here are Quint's exact words:
"There was also a huge Cliffside being constructed. This thing was gigantic! It must have been a half a mile in circumference and the cliffside itself stood about 150-200 feet high."
He narrowly avoided capture... escaped the shark and returned without PICTURES.... after beating him severly, Quint asked for more, but to teach him a lesson, I let him heal up instead. That'll show em. Anyway, the excellent team of spies over at MousePlanet.Com have got those photos and hear are but two of the many.... to see the rest... CLICK HERE!!!

Just got this in, so I figured you good folks would want to hear it... Sounds like a potential natural disaister in the future for our intrepid adventurers... here's David with the latest...
Hi Harry, my name is David, and I have some information to add to what you
already have about the "cliffside" contruction being erected at the Universal
Studios backlot. I was there last week with my girlfriend, and on the tram
tour, the guide informed us that what was being built there was in fact a
volcano for Jurassic Park 3. Looks like construction is moving rapidly,
because last week, it was all pipes and scaffolding, and the "rock" wasn't in
place yet.

that looks like a set from lost world! are they back at sire b?

More fucking dinosaurs... YAY! hoorah... marvel, chase, eat, munch, die, chase, munch, die.. Sure to be another exciting adventure in unoriginal boredom
-
Yeah, that little girl is very annoying. I'm sick and tired of seeing her in those stupid Pepsi/Regal Cinemas promos before the movies start. I saw it before Red Planet and so basically my entire time at the theater sucked because Rad Planet was just as terrible.
-
Those "Dinotopia" set pics I took for you a few weeks ago were better and more detailed than these.......and you never ran those !
-
These are actual quotes from the memos received from Universal.****Memo1-Brian, there is concern over the idea of a opening 26min tracking shot. ****Memo2-Brian, it is not thought a good idea to have the children eaten.*****Memo3-Brian,Re: the psychology of the T-Rex; We don

You hope the pepsi girl get's eaten! Child molestation is just wrong! You are evil to suggest that and.... Oh, wait, you meant in the movie she should be eaten by the dinosaurs. That means that I am beyond evil for thinking that in the first place! OK Fine so I'm evil. I really wanted to get some pics of that stuff myself (JP3 sets you sick fucks). I had the opportunity under the cover of night to do it, but pussied out because it would have meant that I would lose my job in the process. Oh well. I can't be a cool spy with dumbass (fake)stories about how I got the elusive info/pics. Poor me. Atleast I still make minimum wage.

Sequels & serials have a history of sucking, but that's because of past studio decisions. If the right steps are taken, the next Batman sequels will rock. "JP3" is supposed to be darker as less Spielbergy, so there's a good chance for some really cooool shit. ----Yes, the LITTLE PEPSI GIRL is officially the corporate Jon Benet Ramsey and should die at the mercy of a raptor with a hangover. ----btw, was that post really from Brian DePalma, or is that just some fanboy's Tyler Durden? If that IS Brian, those JP3 ideas of yours are awesome. You rock.
-
Thought I'd never hear from you again, that was some funny shit.
-
I'm just curious
-
Not in one bite either. I want to see chunks.
-
The conical, cage like structure in the background of the first picture looks like a big aviary. There was one in the original JP book, which is where they kept the pterosaurs.
-
If she's in the movie I hope she's eaten before she can open her mouth. I don't even want to hear that kid.

Even though Lost World sucked as a movie, even though I know this movie is destined to be awful, even though it'll be more bad CGI being outsmarted by adolescent hackers...I can't help but look forward to this project. There's something timeless about the original JP movie (and both Crichton novels) that makes me a sucker for anything with the JP logo attached. Goint to see JP1 back in 1993 was the most visceral and memorable cinema experience of my lifetime, and looking at these pics now, I can't help but get excited. It's the Aviary, do you see? Just like I imagined it when reading the original novel when I was 10 years old. That's where Grnat and the kids washed up after gliding past the Dilophosauri in the boat. Then the Pteradactyls swoop down and nearly pull Tim up in the air. Damn that sequence was cool. And there's the set, being built. Maybe that's the way forward for the JP movies: take the parts of the novels JP and LW that Spielberg didn't have time to include, and make new stories around them. After all, the highlights of JP1 and 2 were the bits lifter directly from Crichton. Any movie-specific sequences (the electric fence in JP1, the gymnastics...and everything else...in JP2) were weak. There's a whole lot of great stuff in the novels that hasn't been filmed yet. Hopefully, JP3 will have the entire boat/aviary/waterfall sequence, and the bit where the raptors are knawing through sky-lights to enter the Jurassic Hotel. And the cool motorbike chase from The Lost World novel. Surely a plot can be built around such cool concepts? And with Sam Neill back on board (thank god they ditched Goldblum, anyone else tired of his schtick?) the film could exceed expectations. What I want is the atmosphere of the original novel: wonder crossed with terror. The first JP movie got it right, but Lost World blew it. Maybe this time...

Just because it's a sequel ? Jeez, get off your high horses, we all go see the sequels, they make their money, which is how a franchise gets created.
JP3......take it at face value. Accept it for what it will be. It won't change your life, it won't be a deep spiritual experience. It'll be a fun way of spending a couple of hours. Plot ? I've said this before....nobody EVER went to a Jurassic Park movie to see great acting or a deep plot. We all went to see the dinosaurs. These movies stand or fall on their effects...and from that point of view, they have never failed us. In closing..chill out..unclench...get your tickets...buy your popcorn...sit the hell down, eat, drink and be merrily entertained. Those who can't do that'd probably be better off staying at home with their misery. -
Sam Neill and William H. Macy, with cameos by Laura Dern and Spielberg fave Richard Dreyfus; a good start. Plus the military sets, f/x and Joe Johnston, with supposedly a graphic script full of Dino-munching. Sounds good to me.
I hope JP3 follows in 'Lost World' s darker foosteps. Throw in a John Williams or Bruce Broughton score and we're all set, baby. -
Or was that Anaconda 2? I get all these 'carnivores in the jungle' films confused.
-
but it looks alright now.
-
As uninspired as it may be for Universal to be producing JP3, it is reassuring that they aren't cutting costs on the production. The pictures are amazing. Why go to the mountain when you can build one on the back lot!
OFF TOPIC - when I went to look at the rest of the JP3 pictures I found something else of interest, a story about how Disney was at fault in a recent death on Splash Mountain. That site is almost as bitchy as this one.
