We all know the story – girl gets possessed by demon, starts acting weird and violent, possibly starts bending in weird, unnatural ways, family calls in priest, priest exorcises demon, girl is saved, everyone cheers.
But what happens then? How does the girl resume her life? How do you go back when you have violently lashed out at (or perhaps even killed) some of the people closest to you? How do you begin to pick up the pieces and resume a normal existence?
That is what AVA’S POSSESSIONS seems to be tackling. In the weeks following her possession, Ava (Louisa Krause) attends a Spirit Possession Anonymous group in order to try to get her life back – reconnect with her friends and loved ones, come to terms with the disorder that she caused, and try to figure out just what the hell happened when the demon was inhabiting her body.
Frankly, it looks like it could be a ton of fun, and an exciting spin on a well-worn story.
