Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Midnight Special is right at the top of my most anticipated movies of 2016. Jeff Nichols is one of my favorite working filmmakers. Take Shelter and Mud were so far up my alley I sometimes have the delusion Nichols made them just for me. Don't worry, I'm not crazy enough to believe that weird idea that pops up when I watch his films (not yet, at least), but it's safe to say that dude and I are on the same wavelength.
Midnight Special is a father/son story with Nichols' good luck charm, Michael Shannon as the father of a "special" boy (played by St. Vincent's great Jaeden Lieberher). The trailer has shown us that this kid is has some kind of power and super bright eyes, now this clip has arrived via Yahoo to show us a little something more.

This movie is playing SXSW and once they release their locked schedule I will literally be counting the days until I see it.
