Hey folks, Harry here...Jerry Bruckheimer posted the below picture and tweet that this past weekend he was hanging out with Tom Cruise in New Orleans for the weekend to discuss TOP GUN 2. Cruis is shooting JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK in New Orleans with Agent Maria Hill and Director Ed Zwick! But apparently Bruckheimer and Tom had a big discussion about TOP GUN 2. The script has long been in development, but if they're meeting to discuss making the film, which as of now - we only know that Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer are to be in it, if it happens.
So, they were probably discussing schuduling... which with this major Tom has got to be difficult. He finished shooting the Drug Runner flick MENA with Doug Liman, it's in Post, but Tom does have another Doug Liman project called LUNA PARK which isn't scheduled yet that we know. We know he's got to be gearing up to shoot MUMMY 2 for Alex Kurtzman which is due out Summer 2017. Then there's the other issue... which is when Jerry & Tom can get that brand spankig new Aircraft Carrier Gerald R Ford... aka the $16 Billion prop. I mean, I don't know if they're going to use it, but c'mon, this is Bruckheimer & Cruise.... you know that sweet droolstick of weaponized awesome is at the top of the wants. Right? Only reason it wouldn't happen is if we have a President that goes powermad crazy and has it wipe out a pushover country for little to no reason. Before somebody blows it up, it'd be nice to be immortalized by having Cruise bust its ComTower. Right?

look at them - they're so happy. What do you want in TOP GUN 2? The argument that pilots should be replaced with Drones? Who do you feel the young 'Top Guns' should be? I could see Chris Pine in this. I'd love to see Tom strip Chris of all cockiness on camera (get your head out of the gutter) - I gotta say though - TOP GUN is a great stand alone blockbuster. The 3D BLU RAY is phenomenal. And with Tony Scott gone - there is a part of me that doesn't need or want a sequel... but with Nostalgia landing asses in seats at levels like this... The stuff we all love, it's coming. BTW - what the fuck is going on with The Rock's BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA sequel? THAT'S WHAT I REALLY WANT!
