Miranda Otto, who played the CIA’s crafty and spendy Berlin station chief Allison Carr on “Homeland” last year, will play the former head of CTU.
Otto’s “24: Legacy” character will also be married to a U.S. senator. (Longtime fans remember that the first season of the original “24” focused quite a bit on U.S. Senator David Palmer and his wife.)
Longtime “24” showrunner Howard Gordon oversees both “Homeland” and “24: Legacy."
Corey Hawkins (“The Walking Dead,” “Straight Outta Compton”) will play the male lead in “24: Legacy,” like Jack Bauer a war hero who finds himself working with CTU agents.
Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer character, last seen being hauled off to Russian gulag in 2014’s “24: Live Another Day” miniseries, is not expected to be a component of “24: Legacy.”
Stephen Hopkins, who helmed the original “24” pilot way back in 2001, has been hired to direct the 2016 "24:Legacy" pilot from a teleplay by "24" and "24: Live Another Day" vets Evan Katz and Manny Coto.
