Double Confirmation! Looks like Christopher McQuarrie has done some work on the script for Star Wars: Rogue One!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. A rumor popped up last October that none other than Mr. Christopher McQuarrie was doing a quick polish on Star Wars: Rogue One. Exciting stuff because that McQuarrie cat kinda knows how to put words on paper.

Today, Devin Faraci over at Birth.Movies.Death had a follow up story that has sources confirming McQuarrie's involvement.

Faraci says that just as principal photography was getting underway they knew they needed some help locking in this crazy heist story and brought on one of the best around. Again, this isn't unheard of and Lucas' own original Star Wars film got a last minute polish by Gloria Katz and Willard Huyck that locked it into the movie we know today. The only difference is that Katz and Huyck's polish was done a few weeks before photography.

Faraci's source said whatever pass McQuarrie did "saved" the movie. Who knows if it was that extreme. All this stuff is shadow and smoke right now, but no matter what it's majorly exciting to get double confirmation that one of Hollywood's best screenwriters is dipping his toe into the Star Wars universe.
