Suicide Squad gets a series of pop culture art inspired character posters!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. In many ways the DC Cinematic Universe is still struggling to find its footing. I liked Man of Steel more than a lot of folks, but the feeling I get is that Batman Vs Superman is falling into the comically stupid trap that DC was stuck in for decades. Every time I see Jesse Eisenberg in the trailer I'm immediately reminded of Jon Cryer as Lex Luthor's annoying nephew in Superman IV and if that feeling continues throughout the runtime of the movie then I'm going to walk out shaking my head.

But DC has a wild card on the table. I can't pin down David Ayers' Suicide Squad just yet and that intrigues me. I've hated some images from the movie (the first reveal of Jared Leto's Joker, for instance) and loved others (anything Harley Quinn).

This thing feels weird and unsafe, which is exciting.

As of right now, Suicide Squad is the most interesting thing happening the DCU. I guess we'll see if this bizarre experiment works soon enough. To hold you over until release Warners has released a series of pop art-influenced character posters. They're striking, I'll give them that. Not sure if the average movie-goer is going to know what the fuck any of them mean, but these posters will certainly stand out next to the usual big floating head posters on theater walls.
