EISENSTEIN IN GUANAJUATO trailer hits - looks stunning!

Hey folks, Harry here...  Back when Guillermo Del Toro lived here in Austin, we would show each other cool films that we had to show each other that we were not yet exposed to - and sometimes Guillermo would greatly enlighten me with a film that he knew from Mexico - and man, the cinema of Sergei Eisenstein, the father of modern editing and genius of the Russian cinema world, that he shot in MEXICO that Guillermo showed me was just exquisite.  Stunning stunning work.

Now, Peter Greenaway, the director of THE COOK, THE THIEF, HIS WIFE & HER LOVER and THE PILLOW BOOK and PROSPERO'S BOOK, has made a film called EISENSTEIN IN GUANAJUATO - which is about that period when Sergei went to Mexico to shoot some films.   In addition, that this is set in Guanajuato, which is a town I'll certainly never ever forget, mainly because of the amazing MUMMIES that are one of the real symbols of the city.   They sell candy that looks like the Mummies (or did in the 1970s) &  the city itself is very very old with it's own beauty and majesty.   Which  you'll see reflected in this trailer!

The film is due out February 5th, 2016!  I, for one, can not wait!

Keep it cool,
