Hey folks, Harry here... Jodie Foster can be a helluva director, though honestly - I miss her appearing in more acting projects because she really is one of the smartest feeling presences upon film. I always believe her work - even if the overall film wasn't up to snuff. But then, I like her films as director - so really what it is... is I'm a huge Jodie Foster fan and just want to see more from her in all capacities!
Anyway - this is her next directorial effort and it's a film called MONEY MONSTER, where George Clooney plays one of those television Nostradamuses Of Fortune types that tell you when and where to invest and cash in - and like most people that base the whole of their knowledge upon the info from the TV, well, don'tcha just know it, somebody with a grudge comes along. In this case it is Jack O'Connell - who was fantastic in Angelina Jolie's tremendous UNBROKEN. He lost all his money on a 'sure thing' that went way wrong - and now he has Clooney in a Bomb vest, and Julia Roberts is Clooney's Producer that's trying to best manage the situation.
The following trailer seems to be giving us way more than just the set up, which is really all I really needed, but OK - tread forward having been warned that they seem to throw a whole lot of the plot twists up on screen, but really, that's silly. You get the shape of the film, but not the journey. This trailer suggests a lot of intrigue and digging into the nightmarish quagmire of Wall Street in a Thriller kinda manner. With Clooney set to go boom and Jack's finger on the trigger - I can't wait to hear the bullshit that Clooney'll spin. Should be good.
there ya go... This looks damn interesting! Film is coming May 13th! So 4 months from today!
