“Homeland” will be set in Greater New York next season.
The first three seasons were based in the U.S. capital, the fourth in Islamabad and the fifth in Berlin.
The Showtime series continues to follow in the footsteps of “24,” which also dealt with anti-terrorist efforts and employed a lot of writers who now work on “Homeland.”
Meanwhile, it looks like Carrie Matheson may have decided not to euthanize her CIA colleague Peter Quinn after all -- though in season six Quinn may look more like Captain Pike (as depicted in “The Menagerie”) than Jack Bauer. “Quinn is very damaged, no question about that,” Showtime programming president Gary Levine said at TCA. “If he should live, he won’t be in the shape and form he was.”
I think Quinn might be the new Nick Brody, a former regular who will pop up in a single scene every season.
