Hey folks, Harry here... CREED by director Ryan Coogler - and specifically - the astonishing performance that Coogler got from Sylvester Stallone as a Rocky Balboa fighting that monster of monsters... cancer. It was great watching Stallone win that long awaited Golden Globe. Also, don't be too rough on Sly forgetting to name Coogler or Jordan in his thank you. We were witnessing Stallone being acknowledged for his performance with an award for the first time in his stunning history and I'm sure it was an overwhelming moment - and as for Ryan Coogler... I think he's fine today. He's officially signed on to direct BLACK PANTHER!
Fiege has stated that BLACK PANTHER will lead us directly into the two-part INFINITY WAR which has the AVENGERS as the headliners, but that will unify the MCU on screen in what will surely be an astonishing display of cinematic wizardry. Even cooler than that though is the rumor that Ernie Hudson Jr will be playing T'Challa's father T'Chaka. IF that happens, it'd be so damn cool. Chad Boseman is going to kick so much ass as T'Challa! It should also be noted that the first time Coogler was rumored for BLACK PANTHER, tha story came from our pal, Devin Faraci at Birth.Movies.Death! So congrats to him!
At this point, it's just good to have it official that he's deep in talks on this. I want Marvel to go big Jungle Sci Fi for Wakanda in this! This will definitely be a new kind of film from Coogler, but with FRUITVALE STATION and CREED - I know he's got the chops.
