Aaron Sorkin to make his directorial debut with poker drama MOLLY'S GAME!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. It was only a matter of time before Aaron Sorkin stepped up to direct one of his film scripts and that time has come. Per THR, he'll be directing his adaptation of MOLLY'S GAME, a memoir written by Molly Bloom about her path to running high stakes underground poker in Los Angeles.

Her games catered to the "Hollywood Elite" including famous film types turned poker enthusiasts like Tobey Maguire, Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio and Todd Phillips.

I don't know how much the film will focus on these games (I suspect much of it will be on her career change from Olympian hopeful to quasi-illegal underground gambling queen), but it's fascinating reading. I highly recommend checking out this Vanity Fair piece she wrote in 2014.

I'm a sucker for Hollywood stories and a sucker for poker stories. Plus I'm in the Aaron Sorkin Is The Bee's Knees camp, so this whole thing sounds awesome to me. What do you folks think?
