Hey folks, Harry here... It's being reported that Christopher Nolan's mystery project that was slated for a release date of July 21st, 2017 will be about the miraculous DUNKIRK evacuation of some 338,226 soldiers in a ragtag assembly of over 800 boats. These men were considered DOOMED by the ferocious Nazi army that was rolling right through France. Will the film focus upon the 40,000 French soldiers that fought off 7 German Division - which included 3 Armored Divisions? Probably, but the evacuation would be enough. Many feel that without this successful evacuation, England would have almost certainly fallen to Hitler's forces, but who knows the what if spins of history for sure?
The movie will be shot in IMAX's 65mm large screen format - and will feature mainly unknowns, with the notable exception of Mark Rylance, Kenneth Branagh and Tom Hardy. Apparently the movie will be called DUNKIRK... although wouldn't you much prefer the OPERATION DYNAMO title? Ultimately it doesn't really matter. I know that on July 21st, 2017 - there's another movie that us Geeks will be devouring and that's Luc Besson's VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS!!! Right?
