Hey folks, Harry here... In Austin, we only have a single 70mm film house and that's the amazing Alamo Ritz Downtown. When this ROADSHOW PRESENTATION comes to town, if you're in the area - or can't see it in that format anywhere else - you should make the effort. My father raised me to be a film lover - and in the old days there were more places here in Austin that had 70mm equipment - and I've seen every film available in the format. THE AGONY & THE ECSTACY being the last vintage 70mm title I had to see and I knocked that out by programming it at the final RITZ BNAT!
If you're a film novice and don't fully understand the real benefits of 70mm, then watch this FEATURETTE on the greater GLORIOUS 70MM... It's STUNNING. But no matter what anyone says or shows you in this featurette - you won't fully grasp the fidelity of the image until that big format is shown as it was meant to!
