Melissa McCarthy is THE BOSS in this new trailer for her latest comedy outing.

 Hey folks, Scurlock here.

Perpetual pratfaller and generally hilarious lady-person Melissa McCarthy is returning for the first time since 2014's TAMMY to the writing, directing, producing, lead-acting seat with THE BOSS. This is the last big screen offering we'll witness McCarthy in before she takes to busting ghosts in summer 2016.

Co-written with husband and fellow Groundling Ben Falcone, who has appeared in almost every McCarthy film venture to date, THE BOSS features one of Melissa's most popular improv characters, Michelle Darnell. She's the richest woman in America, and expectedly and awful, awful person. Check out the debut trailer below:

Not treading a lot of new ground here, as there's lots of signature McCarthy boxes being checked off in this trailer. Plenty of riffing, Falcone present and accounted for and tons of physical comedy. Additionally, Melissa is often at her best when her cast is on point, and there's no shortage of actors with comedic chops to bounce manic goofiness off of. Peter Dinklage, former THE DAILY SHOW correspondent and comedian Kristen Schaal, other Kristen (Bell), a returning Kathy Bates (TAMMY) and Annie Mumolo, co-writer of BRIDESMAIDS.

This is unsurprisingly a Gary Sanchez Productions outing, with Adam McKay, Chris Henchy and Will Ferrell sharing co-producing duties along with McCarthy and Ben Falcone.

THE BOSS arrives in theaters April 8, 2016.
