Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I don't know why it's a seemingly unwritten rule of modern movie-making that any and all Egyptian mythology movies have to have really cartoony CGI shit in 'em. Unless it's a Biblical movie, strangely enough, but all the ones having to do with the cool as hell (sorry, Hades) crazy Gods and Titans all have really lame CG.
I really like Alex Proyas, but this trailer does very little for me. Doesn't look much different than any of the recent Clash of the Titans movies, which is not a good thing.
Still, I love this stuff (thanks, Harryhausen) and would love to see even a tiny hint of the personality that good ol' Ray threw into his stop motion puppets.
But, it is still just a trailer. The movie still has three months until release and hopefully this is all just early CG. Too optimistic?
