Jeffrey Dean Morgan (“Extant,” “The Good Wife”), who already portrayed a comic-book villain when he took on the role of “Watchmen” rapist-murderer The Comedian, will play another comic-derived swine.
Morgan will play Negan, who in the “Walking Dead” comics murdered Glenn with a baseball bat named Lucille.
He’s expected to make his first appearance in spring’s 6th-season finale.
Negan, introduced in 2012's issue 100, is car salesman who evolves into the polygamist king of the 50-survivor Washington, D.C., community called The Saviors – which subjugates other communities in the area.
“Walking Dead” artist Charlie Adlard has said he based Negan’s thick-necked appearance on that of Black Flag vocalist Henry Rollins.
