Nacho Vigalondo’s latest, about a giant monster terrorizing Seoul, already boasts the director’s biggest cast to date, with Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis starring as the two leads. Now, he’s got another hot young actor in his roster: Dan Stevens.
Stevens’ character, Hathaway’s ex-boyfriend, is being described as “one of the male leads,” and will presumably fight Sudeikis for the Oscar-winner’s hand over the course of the film.
Stevens broke out big with THE GUEST last year, and has got another high-profile gig opposite an A-list leading lady coming up with BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. He makes a lot more sense in this kind of role than Sudeikis, and I’m sure the TIMECRIMES/OPEN WINDOWS director knows just how to use him.
But in terms of who winds up with Hathaway, my money's on Sudeikis.
