Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I'm still trying to get used to this new-fangled video technology, but every time I cut together one of these interviews I figure out something new in the editing software, so each one should be slightly less shittily edited than the one before.
Today sees the release of the Jurassic World Blu-Ray. The movie made a little bit of money, so Universal went all out and held a Blu-Ray junket in Hawaii and some damn fool thought it was a good idea to invite me along. That same fool thought what the world needed was another large, bearded nerd on video talking to actors, so I have a few video interviews with the stars of the movie poised to post today and tomorrow.
Let's start with Bryce Dallas Howard. I've had the chance to speak with Ms. Howard a few times over the years, the first being way back in the day when we got to talk Gwen Stacy for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 at Comic-Con. She's a very engaging, energetic interview and one of the nicest actresses I've ever met in my time doing this silly job.
You'll get to see that energy on display here. We were rained out of our original location, so we moved inside, but that didn't dampen her spirits any.
In this chat you will get to hear her discuss her character's arc, where she might end up in future Jurassic films, deleted scenes involving dinosaur poop and, as an added bonus, you will also get to see her use her Carrie-like psychic powers to destroy that Jurassic World sign behind her.
