ANNABELLE Will Return in New Sequel!

Hey guys! Horrorella here...

If last week's trailer for THE BOY got you jonesing for more possessed doll flicks, this one is for you. The Tracking Board is reporting that New Line is in early production on a sequel for last summer's ANNABELLE.

Annabelle the TOTALLY CREEPY DEVIL DOLL made her first appearance in the beginning of James Wan's THE CONJURING, based on the real life case files of noted demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. While Annabelle was not the focus of that particular story, she made enough of a splash that New Line decided to make a spinoff film just for her. And though ANNABELLE didn't receive the critical praise of its predecessor, it did do well enough at the box office to bring the doll down from the attic for another go.

ANNABELLE scribe Gary Dauberman is returning to pen ANNABELLE 2. Director John Leonetti may not be returning, so the hunt may be on for a new director to take charge. Wan is currently in production on a sequel to THE CONJURING, but will once again be on board as producer.

No word on plot details just get, but it's safe to assume that the doll will once again be busting out her evil powers to wreak havoc on some poor, unsuspecting family who stupidly brought this horrifying thing into their home.
