Much confusion among fans wondering why Iron Man, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, The Vision, The Black Panther and a zillion other heroes are all joining “Captain America: Civil War,” while there’s been no word of four-letter heroes Hulk and Thor joining that fray.
Well, we may have an answer in the form of news that Mark Ruffalo is close to signing to reprise his “Avengers” role of Bruce Banner in “Thor: Ragnarok.”
Ruffalo has said the reason puny Banner won’t be in “Civil War” is because Marvel had a big idea about what happened to the size-shifting scientist at the end of “Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The third stand-alone “Thor” movie, currently due to hit cinemas Nov. 3, 2017, is being directed by Taika Waititi, the New Zealander behind “Eagle Vs Shark” and “What We Do In The Shadows.”
In my view Joss Whedon’s two Avengers blockbusters made the best use of Hulk and Banner ever. Will “Ragnarok” prove as successful in this regard?
