First trailer for PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES hits the web!

Not four days ago, Seth Grahame-Smith got hired to do THE FLASH, but while you’re waiting for 2018, you can see the Burr Steers-directed adaptation of his PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, which we now have a minute-long trailer for below.

The trailer wisely plays itself as a completely straight Victorian adaptation until the reveal of the first zombie, after which we see Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters slaying some pesky undead.

This looks a little more overtly comic and energetic than the somewhat muted ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, and the combo of the book’s infamy and the current trend of “girl power” in Hollywood make this a potentially hot item. This genre-busting remix stuff doesn't have a great track record at the box-office (HUNTER, SUCKER PUNCH, HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS), but this could be one that breaks that spell.

Plus, you got Cersei Lannister/Ma-Ma killing zombies with two katanas. Which I will absolutely pay to see.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES all get in the way on February 5th, 2016.
