Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I loved, loved, loved Green Room and wrote up a pretty rambling review from its recent Fantastic Fest screening. All you poor bastards have to wait until 2016 to see why I dug the movie so much, but at least now we have an exact date for you to get psyched for.
A24 will release Jeremy Saulnier's Blue Ruin follow-up nation wide on April 15th, 2016 with it popping up in limited release on April Fool's Day.
The flick is a seige flick like Assault on Precinct 13, but instead of cops vs. gang members it's a young punk band trying to survive an attack by a bunch of skinheads all taking orders from a pretty intense Patrick Stewart.
Yes, it's as awesome as that premise leads you to believe. Fun, exciting, brutal, bloody and filled to the brim with great performances by the likes of Sir Patrick Stewart, Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots and Alia Shawkat.
It's a long wait, but worth it. Trust me!
