Horror rules on the picket lines in Hollywood!

Published at:  Oct 29, 2000 4:33:20 PM CST

Father Geek here with a report of political unrest and social upheaval in the streets of our beloved Hollywood. What could cause this demon-stration? Was it some new outlandish MPA ruling? Had the NRG run amuck? Was it true that BATTLEFIELD EARTH 2 was in pre-production? NO geeks, none of these events moved the citizens of this liberal community to social chaos, painting the streets red with blood and gore. Father Geek received the following fear filled report this morning from our sexy spy Sonja. Check it out... if you dare! It really happened.

Dracula, the Bride of
Frankenstein, Frankenstein, the Wolf Man, the Mummy, and other gore splattered supporters picketed outside the
Hollywood Entertainment Museum to protest the demise of Halloween's "scare" traditions.

The original
Universal Studios monsters united for a unique public plea and call to citizen action.
The Classic Monsters held their recent howlingly successful press conference brandishing what appeared to be blood smeared picket
signs, ranging from "More Fear Careers" and "Put the Fright Back In The Night" to "Wolf Man, Not
Pokemon" to "Up With Scare Tactics" and "EC not PC." The monsters and their followers asked that the true veterans
of fright be remembered this Halloween season.

As spokesman for the raging creatures, Dracula urged
monster-minded citizens to re-familiarize themselves with the classics of terror and
watch the Universal Studios Home Video Classic Monster Collection to get
into the REAL unreal spirit of
Halloween as the Wolf Man howled his approval. Frankenstein and his Bride urged everyone to return to the fearful family values of Halloweens past. Remember its Halloween... not Holloween!

Horrorificly yours;

Sonja

    by cafeman

Way of the gun is only one of the most blatantly horrible movies i have seen...it starts off brilliant in front of the night club and at the sperm bank office, bu it`s just badly filmed and organized violence and gratuitous baby\childbirth conversatins (???) from there

    Matrix TV show? WTF?

    by phreeform

Roque, what network is showing a Matrix TV series? Or are referring to some other show in a clever code?

MATRIX TV SHOW = UPN's FREEDOM

    by wesley snipes

Freedom is a new show on UPN that is kind of Matrix-like (people dressed in dark clothes doing crazy inhuman acrobatics). The characters are obnoxious rather than engaging however. Trying WAY too hard to be cool. "7 Days" on the same network is a much better (and funnier) action sci-fi show. To paraphrase TV Guide, it's guilt-free action fun the likes of which there hasn't been since the 1970s.

    Way to Go Universal

    by islander

The Universal Studios Home Video Classic Monster Collection is one of the best dvd collections on the market. I have bought a few of these disc and will buy them all before long. The discs have comentay by film historians, very good documentaries on the making of the films, trailers and many more. If you love the Universal classic monster series (they even have Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstien) check these out. All classic films deserve this treatment. I already own many classic films, so I won't buy movies just because it is on dvd, but if you give them the classic treatment, I will buy it over again. NOW WHERE IS THE KING KONG (1933) DELUXE DVD !!!(Criterian made a decent Laser Disc)
