Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Deadline is reporting that Jamie Foxx is in talks to sign up for Edgar Wright's long-gestating Baby Driver.
The film already has Ansel Elgort and Lily James onboard. Deadline didn't know which character Foxx is playing, but I think Foxx will fit in nicely to a Wrightverse film. He's got a great range, from silly to deadly serious, that he could handle just about anything Wright and his team throw at him.
The story is about a getaway driver who basically can't function without a preprogrammed soundtrack. He's the best driver there ever was, but he's got to have his music.
I've heard nothing but great things about Wright's script and I'm ridiculously excited to see that dude get behind the camera again. It's been way too long.
