Hulk Or No Hulk In CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR?? Puny Ruffalo Has Answer!!

I am – Hercules!!

While virtually the entire Marvel universe seems to be siding with either Steve Rogers or Tony Stark in “Captain America: Civil War,” Hulk alter ego Mark Ruffalo says puny Banner has no dog in this fight, and that particular movie will be Hulk-free.

The actor says Hulk was in a “Civil War” script, but somebody ultimately decided not to bring Big Green into the melee.

Ruffalo was talking to the Italian website Bad Taste to promote Tom McCarthy’s priests-molesting-tots drama “Spotlight” and the actor was asked if Ruffalo and The Hulk wouldn’t be joining these guys in Civil War:

Tom Holland as Peter “Spider-Man” Parker;
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony “Iron Man” Stark;
Chris Evans as Steve “Captain America” Rogers;
Paul Rudd as Scott “Ant-Man” Lang;
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha “Black Widow” Romanoff;
Jeremy Renner as Clint “Hawkeye” Barton;
Anthony Mackie as Sam “Falcon” Wilson;
Don Cheadle as James “War Machine” Rhodes;
Emily VanCamp as Sharon “Agent 13” Carter;
Sebastian Stan as Bucky “Winter Soldier” Barnes;
Frank Grillo as Brock “Crossbones” Rumlow;
Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda “Scarlet Witch” Maximoff;
Chadwick Boseman as “The Black Panther” T’Challa;
Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo;
Paul Bettany as The Vision; and
William Hurt as Gen. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.

The interview was in Italian, but the upshot seems to be that the Marvel masterminds have something big in mind for the next time we see Hulk, and the third Captain America movie was simply too crowded a place for such a massive Hulk reveal.

Ruffalo also claimed he knew not whether Hulk would return to the movies anytime soon.

I guess with Hulk on the sidelines, the only Big Gun who hasn’t yet RSVP’d is Thor.

The Punisher had a shocking and hilarious moment in Mark Millar's Civil War comic book series, and I am hopeful that Jon Bernthal (who will play The Punisher in the coming season of "Daredevil," which occupies the same live-action universe as "Civil War") is recruited to re-enact Frank Castle's big scene.
