We're Gearing Up for George Miller on THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR this Weekend, and We've Got 5 Posters to Give Away!!!

Hey guys! Horrorella here...

This weekend, El Rey Network is debuting a brand new episode of THE DIRECTOR'S CHAIR. This one will feature an interview between host Robert Rodriguez and legendary director and certified badass, George Miller. The episode will air at 8:00 pm ET on Sunday, August 30th.

I know you all are huge fans of the MAD MAX films (because duh), but the interview will span Miller's entire career, and will touch on his work on THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK, LORENZO's OIL, the BABE films, and HAPPY FEET (in addition to the MAD MAX films, because again, duh).

To celebrate the arrival of this hour of awesome, we're giving away five posters by artists Tim Doyle and Joshua Budich. The poster, like the interview, is a celebration of Miller's amazing and diverse body of work. It's a pretty wicked piece - check it out!

So to get into the spirit of things, we're going to incorporate FURY ROAD into this contest. It seems only fitting, since the film was the undisputed champion of the summer tentpole season and already holds a special place in all of our hearts. Incredible story, gorgeous visuals, car chases the likes of which mortals have never seen, and compelling characters - it really is perfection on wheels.

One of my very favorite aspects of the film was the character of Furiosa - a total badass who held her own and survived through sheer will and determination. And War Rigs. And fists. When I grow up, I want to drive crazy-ass cars and beat the shit out of people with my robot arm too.

So to enter to win one of these posters (did I mention they are signed by the artists?), send me an email with your name, address and your favorite badass woman of cinema. Be sure to put "Shiny and Chrome" in the subject line. Contest closes at 11:59 pm, PST on Saturday, August 29.

Join director Robert Rodriguez as he sits down with fellow filmmaker George Miller for an hour-long conversation about Miller's stunning career as director, writer and producer of some of modern cinema's most beloved and iconic films. Together, they trace the Australian-born director's journey from practicing medical physician to creator of the visionary "Mad Max" series, which includes "Mad Max" (1979), "Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior" (1981), "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome" (1985), and this year's critically acclaimed, global box office hit "Mad Max: Fury Road," starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.

The two also discuss in revealing detail Miller's successful transition into dramatic filmmaking with the Academy Award®-nominated medical drama "Lorenzo's Oil" (1992), starring Susan Sarandon and Nick Nolte, which was greatly influenced by his medical training, the making of the supernatural comedy hit "The Witches of Eastwick," (1987)starring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer; the creation of the much-loved live-action/CGI family film "Babe" (1995) and its sequel, "Babe: Pig in the City" (1998); and Miller's triumphant foray into fully-CGI animated films with "Happy Feet" (2006) which won an Academy Award® in 2008 for Best Animated Feature.
