The Possible GALAXY QUEST Series Has Found A Place To Dock!!

I am – Hercules!!

Paramount has found a home for its potential TV series based on DreamWorks’ 1999 movie comedy “Galaxy Quest”: Amazon.

If you’ve not seen “Galaxy Quest,” it sort of depicts what would happen if a group of desperate, confused extraterrestrials came to believe that “Star Trek” is real, then decided to give William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy a real Starship Enterprise to fight a real Klingon-y space menace.

(Were I King of Paramount, I would have tried to hire the real Shatner, Nimoy, James Doohan and so on  to play themselves.)

Robert Gordon (“Addicted to Love,” “Men In Black II,” “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events”), who wrote the movie “Galaxy Quest,” is writing the pilot. Dean Parisot (“Home Fries,” “Fun With Dick And Jane,” “RED 2”), who directed the movie, is being sought to direct the pilot.

It’s been 10 years since the airing of the last episode of “Star Trek: Enterprise.” And there appear to be no plans at the moment to bring “Star Trek” back to the small screen.

But we may soon be getting a “Galaxy Quest” series!
