Wanna take a STAR TREK-themed luxury cruise with the (original) Captain Kirk?

Trekkers with big pockets just found out what they’re doing the week of January 9th, 2017.

That’s when the first official Star Trek Cruise is going to depart from Miami to the Bahamas for a week of Trek-themed goodness, hosted by none other than the original captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise: William Shatner.

Tickets start at $995 (and get increasingly pricier based on what kind of room you want), but here’s a taste of what you’ll get:

Shatner will be performing his musical act, Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis will collaborate for some sort of stage performance (titled “Love Letters”), Denise Crosby will put on a tap dance display, Robert Picardo will host a Star Trek-themed version of Family Feud, and John De Lancie will host a “Q’s Masquerade Ball.” The entire ship will be decked out (no pun intended) in full Trek style, complete with a full replica of Quark’s bar and (one imagines) at least one of the numerous Enterprise bridges.

Now, if they could only figure out how to make a bloody Holodeck…

This is obviously high-end as shit, but come on. Like this would be the most exuberant and ridiculous thing that all you Trekkers/Trekkies out there have ever spent money on. Shatner being onboard is obviously one of the biggest draws of this endeavor, and it’s unlikely the 84-year-old will ever pop on again if they continue with the tours. January 2017 is a ways away, but they’re already taking reservations, and methinks they’ll be snapped up fairly soon (at least for the halfway-afforable rooms), so if you got a k-plus sitting around and a need to boldly go somewhere, anywhere, with Captain Kirk (and Riker, and Troi, and Tasha, and The Doctor, and Q), head over to StarTrekTheCruise.com and engage.
