Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I guess if James Foley gets the gig for the new 50 Shades film the ABCs above will take on a whole new meaning.
Word via THR is that 50 Shades Darker (I keep wanting to say 50 Shades Grayer) has narrowed down their finalists to direct the smutty sequel after original director Sam Taylor-Wood jumped ship and Glengarry Glen Ross' James Foley is at the top of the heap. The other names mentioned were Mark Pellington (Arlington Road) and Tanya Wexler (Hysteria).
I keep wanting to think this movie is below Foley, but then I remember he also did the crazy Marky Mark stalker movie Fear and weird Halle Berry/Bruce Willis thriller Perfect Stranger.
Plus I find it difficult to muster up any kind of opinion on this project one way or another. Not for me, I guess...
