Hey folks, Harry here... At D23, we got word of the latest animated film from the team behind THE LITTLE MERMAID, ALADDIN, TREASURE PLANET and THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG! That's right John Musker & Ron Clements, the co-directors behind that winning run are making a film called MOANA - and no, it isn't a lost Roger Ebert script for Russ Meyer either.
The story is set around two thousand years ago when the titular character, a 16 year old princess named MOANA. She sets out on a legendary voyage to discover a mythical Island chain She's headed out on this voyage with Maui - a bit of a demi-god voiced by THE ROCK - and covered by magical tattoos about his accomplishments and voyages. It sounded like it was pretty spectacular - And the Rock apparently cried. Quint will be back with more details - but first - here's the logo and the image they released to folks
This will be hitting November 23rd, next year!
