Sony shifts its schedule! Bad Boys 3 & 4! Ghostbusters! Uncharted! Edgar Wright's Baby Driver!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. Sony dropped their slate for the next few years. I've already talked about Dark Tower, but let's take a look at some of the other interesting nuggets in there, shall we?

Paul Feig's reboot/relaunch of Ghostbusters will bow July 15, 2016, which pretty much means Sony thinks it has a money printer with this film.

Other big news is that Bad Boys 3 and 4 are locked in as well. Bad Boys 3 will be out February 17th, 2017, just after my 36th Birthday (thanks Michael Bay!) and Bad Boys 4 will hit fourth of July weekend 2019... unless, of course, Bad Boys 3 flops then I suspect we'll see part 4 fizzle into nothingness.

The Jodie Foster/George Clooney thriller Money Monster (which looks real damn good by the way) will come out April 4, 2016, zombie flick Patient Zero will hit September 2nd, 2016, Underworld 5 (is there anybody out there who cares about this franchise or am I being a dick?) will release October 21st, 2016 and Resident Evil 6 (see previous question about Underworld) will come out January 27th, 2017.

The problematic Uncharted adaptation has also been pushed back to June 30th, 2017 and Chris Pratt vehicles The Magnificent Seven and Passengers release within a few months of each other (the former can be seen September 23rd, 2016 and the latter will be out December 21st, 2016) and the Jumanji reboot will release Christmas Day 2016.

That leaves Edgar Wright's Baby Driver, which has been dated for March 17th, 2017. Outside of the Dark Tower date announcement that's the best piece of news in this date drop. Word on the street is Wright's script is out of this world good and I think I can speak for movie geeks all over the world when I say it's about goddamn time we see a new Edgar Wright film.

So, them's the breaks. Now you're caught up with all the geekiness going on at Sony. Thoughts?
