This New Look At The Upcoming MAD MAX Video Game Suggests Much FURY ROADness!!

MAD MAX video game cover

Here’s a new look at the upcoming video MAD MAX video game, releasing September 1 on PS4, XBO, and PC.  Many evocations of FURY ROAD herein, which can only be a good thing by my measure.

A snippet of press release explains more…

In the new trailer, Max visits some of the game's diverse strongholds and encounters a number of intriguing characters, including Jeet, Gutgash, Pink Eye and Deep Friah. In a world where Max faces both his internal and external enemies, these strongholds hold the pieces essential to the puzzle he tries to solve. Max will need to make some uneasy alliances as he prepares to take on merciless Wasteland tyrant, Scrotus

Featuring deep car customization, metal-grinding vehicular action, brutal melee combat and a vast desert landscape waiting to be explored, players will be fully immersed into the deadly Mad Max universe like never before.

Will this be enough to satiate our appetites as we wait for word on a potential fifth installment in the film franchise, which MAD MAXtermind George Miller has already revealed would be subtitled THE WASTELAND?  Or will this make the wait that much more frustrating?

I would imagine that the performance of FURY ROAD’s video release may well be a determining factor in whether we’ll see more MM on the bigscreen anytime soon - as well as being instrumental in determining what kind of MAX that might actually be.  I’m mentioning this because the picture hits digital next week, and arrives on DVD & Blu-ray September 1 here in the States.  UK folks look be getting this amazing set.  It’s so great.

Speaking of WB games…I’ve made it through the entire main campaign of BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT, but have managed to get totally hung up on the damn Cloudburst Tank.  Trying the stalking/cat & mouse thing…then running like hell when I pop off a shot…but I’m getting my ass pulled out and handed to me every time.  Anyone have any hints re: strategies, etc?
