Via yvrshoots and TrekCore comes this spy shot revealing a new alien to be featured in STAR TREK BEYOND.
A few weeks ago, we got our first look at another alien from the July 2016 release, via THIS reel for a STAR TREK BEYOND/Omaze partnership.
Speaking of Omaze…
TrekCore observed that a subtle graphic at around 1:03 in the most recent Omaze reel…
…in which Abramsverse Spock Zachary Quinto conspicuously points towards a Klingon language menu option.
A fun in-joke? Or a subtle reveal that Klingons do, indeed, play some meaningful role in the upcoming picture? A notion which has been long rumored, but never confirmed.
It should be noted, however, that BEYOND co-writer Simon Pegg has suggested that BEYOND is more about moving into fresh/unknown territory than revisiting established conceits from the TREKverse…

It should likewise be noted that each of the Omaze reels released thus far have revealed something new about the film. The first showed us Idris Elba with the crew (and acted more or less as a confirmation of his casting), the second that alien linked above. Might this third reel be likewise informative, merely in a more subtle way?
By the way, it’s so, so weird hearing Karl Urban’s real accent…
