A SPIDER-MAN Writer Says Tom Holland Has Already Shot A Scene As Peter Parker For CIVIL WAR!!

I am – Hercules!!

Marvel has announced a truckload of cast for “Captain America: Civil War,” but for some reason it’s still holding back on admitting Tom Holland is playing the new Spider-Man in that movie.

But.  Screenwriters Jonathan M. Goldstein and John Francis Daley are out promoting the new “Vacation” movie. And the duo’s writing resume includes  “Horrible Bosses,” “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” and -- the 2017 “Spider-Man” reboot.

And Goldstein just told Vulture that this weekend they’re getting their first look at footage of Tom Holland playing Spidey in “Civil War.”

"We hear good things,” said Goldstein. “We might even get to look at the Spidey suit, which is exciting."

That’s official enough for me, so here’s an updated cast list for next year’s Captain America movie.

Tom Holland as Peter “Spider-Man” Parker;
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony “Iron Man” Stark;
Chris Evans as Steve “Captain America” Rogers;
Paul Rudd as Scott “Ant-Man” Lang;
Scarlett Johansson as Natasha “Black Widow” Romanoff;
Jeremy Renner as Clint “Hawkeye” Barton;
Anthony Mackie as Sam “Falcon” Wilson;
Don Cheadle as James “War Machine” Rhodes;
Emily VanCamp as Sharon “Agent 13” Carter;
Sebastian Stan as Bucky “Winter Soldier” Barnes;
Frank Grillo as Brock “Crossbones” Rumlow;
Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda “Scarlet Witch” Maximoff;
Chadwick Boseman as “The Black Panther” T’Challa;
Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo;
Paul Bettany as The Vision; and
William Hurt as Gen. Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.

No word on Bruce Banner, Matt Murdock, Peter Quill, Frank Castle, Hope Van Dyne, Phil Coulson or Thor.

Latter-day Hobbit Martin Freeman is in “Civil War” but Marvel has not yet disclosed his role. My best guess is Namor The Submariner. Just kidding; I smell MODOK on the guy.

“Civil War,” which depicts when happens when Iron Man and Captain America find themselves on opposite sides of a government plan for superheroes, features the same writing-directing team responsible for the spectacularly entertaining “Captain America: Winter Soldier.”

Arriving May 6 of next year, the third Captain America movie is actually the sixth movie in which Chris Evans plays Steve Rogers.
