Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I know Johnny Depp gets a lot of shit these days, but he's still one of my favorite working actors. Sure, I'd love it if he didn't turn literally every character he has played since Jack Sparrow into a cartoon character, but the dude still goes for it. I think his Buster Keaton-inspired Tonto in The Lone Ranger is ridiculously and unfairly maligned, for example. Yeah. I'm that weirdo.
So it's nice to see him dipping back into a little more brooding and subtle territory in this lengthy trailer for his Whitey Bulger flick BLACK MASS. You can certainly feel a little Donnie Brasco in here and that's a good thing.

Soak it up while you can. His next three films bring back his crazier characters (Mad Hatter in the next Alice movie, Guy Lapointe in the Yoga Hosers and Cap'n Jack in the next Pirates flick). You've been warned!
