What kind of monster raises supervillains?
It turns out he looks a lot like Lois Lane’s dad on “Smallville.”
Michael Ironside (“Scanners,” “V,” “Top Gun,” “Total Recall,” “Starship Troopers,” “SeaQuest”), who also played Darkseid on the “Superman” and “Justice League” animated series, has joined the CW’s “Flash” cast as Lewis Snart, father of Leonard “Captain Cold” Snart (Wentworth Miller).
Like Leonard, Lewis is a career criminal. In the coming season’s third episode he is newly released from prison and has big plans for his evil offspring.
I hope they give him the supervillain name “Iron Side.”
Peyton List, who played Roger Sterling’s second wife Jane Siegel on “Mad Men,” joined the “Flash” last season as Captain Cold’s kid sister, Lisa Snart. (Known in the comics as supervillain Golden Glider, in print she fought The Flash before joining The Black Lanterns).
By midseason, Captain Cold will be recruited by time traveler Rip Hunter to star in “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” also on the CW.
