LOST/UNDER THE DOME Vet Brian K. Vaughan To Steer Panel Syndicate Version Of WALKING DEAD!!

I am – Hercules!!

Famed comic-book writer Brian K. Vaughan, whose tale of a radically altered Earth “Y: The Last Man” is considered by some a modern classic, will be tackling another sci-fi apocalypse by writing the print version of “The Walking Dead.”

Vaughan is taking over comic-scripting duties -- however briefly -- from the creator of the “Walking Dead” comic, Robert Kirkman, who is currently co-showrunner on the spin-off “Fear The Walking Dead, due to hit AMC in August.

My understanding is Vaughan’s will be the first “Walking Dead” graphic novel tale not scripted by Kirkman.

The Vaughan-penned tale will appear on the Panel Syndicate website.

Vaughan’s other comic-book work includes “Runaways,” “Ex Machina,” “Pride of Baghdad” and “Saga.”

Vaughan is also a TV writer, having scripted seven episodes of ABC’s “Lost.” He was also heavily involved in developing CBS’ “Under The Dome,” but left after its first season (by far the series’ most popular) over creative differences.
