HuffPo says it's fan made, per Netflix! Still lovely, though...
Sorry, "A Series of Unfortunate Events" fans. @Netflix has confirmed this (awesome) trailer is, unfortunately, fake https://t.co/VlqLqyRRId

We learned late last year that Lemony Snicket’s A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS books were being turned into a series by Netflix.
Since then, little-to-no information about the show has found its way into the light. However, a new teaser for the series was recently posted to YouTube by one Eleanora Poe.
Notably, the actual name of the series is absent here, as is a release date, leading to an obvious question: is this trailer legit, or is it a rather brilliant bit of fan work? Is it intentionally, deliciously mysterious (and viral) - thus upholding the vibe of the Snicketverse? Or is this the work of someone uninvolved with the show, who created a very nice reel based on what precious little info we have about the Netflix project thus far?
Hard to know these days, but there’s been no official acknowledgement regarding the release of a teaser for this series thus far. Which isn’t surprising - I wouldn’t be surprised if The Powers That Be kept mum about such a teaser, just to get people talking. And just for the fun of it…
THE VERGE has a nice write-up of the numerous and meaningful easter eggs you can find in the reel…you can find that piece HERE.
