Longtime “Mad Men” writers Maria and Andre Jacquemetton are developing a new Fox miniseries based on Paramount’s 1987 blockbuster thriller “Fatal Attraction,” according to Deadline Hollywood.
The movie dealt with a married lawyer who has an affair with a woman who goes nuts after he tries to end the relationship. Remember the “pets or meat” scene from “Roger & Me”? She eventually ends up cooking his family’s pet bunny.
The Jacquemettons penned at least 10 “Mad Men” episodes between 2007 and 2013, including “Nixon Vs. Kennedy” (Pete blackmails Don to get a promotion) “The Gold Violin” (Roger rescues Jane Siegel from Joan), “Seven Twenty-Three” (Conrad Hilton visits the Sterling Cooper offices) and “Quality of Mercy” (Pete discovers Bob Benson’s secret origins).
Before joining the “Mad Men” staff, the duo worked on the first season of the final Star Trek TV series “Enterprise,” penning the episodes “Breaking The Ice” (T’Pol is suspected of spying for the Vulcans), “Dear Doctor” (Phlox considers not curing a deadly disease), and “Acquisition” (Ferengi pirates invade the Enterprise).
