Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. For the first time since 2000 I will NOT be going to San Diego Comic-Con this year. Yes, I'm sad I won't be there to see whatever Star Wars, Hateful 8, Batman v Superman and Legendary stuffs (especially seeing what they show from Michael Dougherty's Krampus!) they show.
However I'm also feeling super relieved not to have to deal with the giant ball of stress that thing has turned in to. I expect I'll be back next year, but this year I'll be sitting at home following along like most geeks who can't make the trip to San Diego.
One of the more fun things about SDCC is the crazy amount of nerdy exclusive toys that can only be had at the Con (or by rewarding flippers at double the cost on eBay). I was just given the heads up about a cool Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles exclusive that Nickelodeon is going to drop and I figured some of you folks might want to know about it.
Leonardo is an oversized 11" figure that comes in his own giant blister pack and will have shiny "metalized" space gear. Oh, and he costs $50. Check it out:
