Portuguese actress Tehmina Sunny (“Argo”) apparently made a video to audition for the role of Kinvara, a Red Priestess of R’hilor.
The video went online, then offline, but before it disappeared a fellow named “Jared” managed to transcribe it.
The dialogue indicates Tyrion summoned Kinvara to Meereen. He and Varys want Kinvara’s priests to help convince the locals that Khaleesi Dany The Stormborn Unburned Targaryen is awesome.
Kinvara: “You want my priests to convince the Meereenese that the city’s conqueror is the people’s savior.”Tyrion/Varys: “We prefer liberator to conqueror.”
Kinvara: “You don’t have to persuade me of anything. I came to help. Daenerys Stormborn is the One Who Was Promised. From the fire, she was reborn...to remake the world.”
It turns out Kinvara says Dany is The Red Priestess’ kind of ruler because she can’t be burned and her dragons like to set fire to non-believers.
But Varys points out that across the Narrow Sea in Westeros, another burn-y girl who follows The Lord of Light decided Stannis Baratheon was The One – and Stannis is now but a stain on the sword of a gigantic Tarth lady.
Kinvara retorts:
“Everything is the Lord’s will. Men and women make mistakes. Even honest servants of the Lord.”
But was it a mistake?
My takeaway is these R'hilor followers are both legitimate precogs and giant liars.
I think Melissandre was using Stannis as a pawn the whole time. And maybe Jon Snow has as much king’s blood as Daenerys.
