"We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X-Men movie in Montreal," read the Instagram page for Kika NY, a Brooklyn custom leather goods company.
And then the Kika NY post on Jackman evaporated.
Did somebody get to Kika NY?
As it happens, “X-Men: Apocalypse” is shooting in and around Montreal.
Jackman has been telling folks he plans to make one more movie as Wolverine, a third standalone movie. He's said nothing yet about appearing in "Apocalypse."
In the comics Wolverine was at one point transformed into Death, one of the four horsemen employed by Marvel supervillain Apocalypse (played by the ubiquitous Oscar Isaac in next year’s movie).
Hugh Jackman has appeared as Wolverine in every X-Men movie to date. I believe he’s the only actor to appear in all the X-Men movies. If he elects to skip “X-Men Apocalypse” might some fans harbor objection?
Due May 27 of next year, “X-Men Apocalpse” is directed by Bryan Singer (who directed the first two X-Men movies as well as “X-Men: Days of Future Past”) from a screenplay by Michael Dougherty, Dan Harris and Simon Kinberg.
