Hey folks, Harry here... with a film that I'm super fucking jazzed to be doing a screening with, but even more than that - I'VE BEEN DYING TO SEE THIS ONE. First off, it is directed by Jalmari Helander, the director of RARE EXPORTS: A CHRISTMAS TALE and has that same awesome badass of a kid in it! Second, it has Ray Stevenson & Jim Broadbent - those guys rule! But the best reason I have for frothing at the mouth to see this is the notion of President Samuel L Jackson being hunted after an AIRFORCE ONE is interupted mid-flight.
We've had action movie Presidents before - but there has never been a more BADASS MUTHERFUCKER at the highest office in the land - and him struggling to survive with a feral child badass from RARE EXPORTS? Shit, that's an experience tailor suited for the Alamo Drafthouse South! SO - that's what we're gonna do!
So - Monday, June 22nd at 9:30pm we're going to gather together at the theater that not only premiered RARE EXPORTS to the world, but that has held the Body & Soul of SAMUEL L JACKSON a mere Six Months Before... And as you know, once Samuel L Jackson has walked in the door and told stories about the true origin of his Light Saber, where he geeked out about TARZAN a bit... well, that Drafthouse bottles and soaks that kinda cool into the very walls & screens - which creates a beautiful air of excitement!
