God bless Legendary Pictures' Thomas Tull. According to Variety, he's none too happy that the United States currently ranks 30th out of 65 developed countries in math knowledge and 23rd in science, and he's hellbent on doing something about it. That "something" is going to take the shape of a documentary from filmmakers Kip and Kern Konweiser that will hopefully inspire children to get excited about subjects they largely dread. I'm joking. A little. I mean, this is a fantastic idea, and I wish them all the best, but short of folks solving complex equations on Channing Tatum and Miley Cyrus's nude bodies, this sounds like the countless "learning is cool" film strips we all endured in school.
But Tull and the Konweiser's are sharp fellas. Maybe they've got an approach no one has thought of before. Or maybe they're going to solve complex equations on Channing Tatum and Miley Cyrus's nude bodies. It's worth a shot.
Alas, they're too late to help this would-be Wernher von Braun.
