In “Star Wars: Rebels” we learn that Luke Skywalker wasn’t as special as old Ben Kenobi claimed: there were lightsabre-rattling people full of midiclorians all over the place long after Clone Protocol 66 was initiated.
And apparently Vader knew this. Here he is battling Kanan, who may have been hiding behind an ottoman the day Anakin Skywalker slaughtered “all” the younglings.
“Rebels” was created and is overseen by Simon Kinberg, who also wrote “xXx 2,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” “X-Men: The Last Stand,” “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “Jumper,” and the first Robert Downey “Sherlock Holmes” movie. He's also had a hand in the second "Star Wars Anthology" movie Josh Trank recently abandoned.
“Rebels” returns to Disney XD June 20.
