Hey folks, Harry here with a big huge rumor... A scooper under the name of Edgar Dawn dropped me a line with a synopsis from PRODUCTION WEEKLY about AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR-PART 1. If one were to believe the PRODUCTION WEEKLY synopsis, one that they ran back in December mind you, we would believe that in the first part of this epic, we'd have Adam Warlock's evil self personified, that comic geeks would know as MAGUS... Turns out MAGUS is who allegedly would be collecting all the gems into the Infinity Gauntlet. Then apparently is going to create evil versions of our heroes all in a grand scheme to create an EVIL UNIVERSE. And mind you, there's ZERO reference to THANOS in this synopsis. Which would be confusing as all hell to what people are expecting... but again, this works with the comic side of things.
Now, if MARVEL STUDIOS is going to head into the ADAM WARLOCK story, we have to wonder... is Adam Warlock going to figure into GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2? Could he be the asshole that's Starlord's father? If the MAGUS is forming, does that mean we also get THE GODDESS which is Adam Warlock's goodness gaining physical form? And what the hell is THANOS going to to have to do? Who knows. Marvel has all the ingrediants from the comics, but with these films there out to make something all new.
SO - how reliable is any of this? Well, PRODUCTION WEEKLY was still carrying the Adam Warlock/Magus/EvilEarthHeroes storyline for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR PART 1 as recently as their April 9th edition. Also, it reads as pretty much the exact synopsis of the actual INFINITY WAR Crossover, and surely Marvel is going to massively modify, but at the same time... Thought you should know. Me, I believe PW just sampled the synopsis from the comics as a best guess.
